A training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashes in the Chittagong River


On Thursday morning, a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed in Chittagong's Karnaphuli River. 

The aircraft's two injured pilots were saved. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), one of them is critically ill. 

As per the ISPR, mechanical malfunctions caused the BAF's YAK 130 training aircraft to crash in the Patenga area of Chittagong. 

The two pilots used parachute jumps to escape the aircraft during the disaster, according to Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, the manager of Chittagong airport, who made this statement to Prothom Alo, a daily newspaper in Bangladesh. 
The airplane crashed in the Karnaphuli River, according to Sadarghat River Police. One of their teams arrived there right away.
