10 Airbus A350-900 aircraft are ordered by EgyptAir at Dubai Air Show

At the present Dubai Airshow, a substantial order for widebody aircraft has been announced. In an attempt to capitalize on the new, fuel-efficient Airbus A350-900 aircraft in the upcoming years, EgyptAir has made an order for 10 of these aircraft.

At the Dubai Airshow in 2023, EgyptAir said that it has placed an order for ten Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Airbus CCO Christian Scherer and airline chairman and CEO Yehia Zakaria witnessed the signing of the agreement. Zakaria remarked,
“EGYPTAIR has firmed up an agreement with Airbus to procure 10 A350-900 aircraft, each boasting a capacity of 340 seats. These aircraft come equipped with cutting-edge technologies and Rolls-Royce XWB Trent engines, known for their modern design and reduced fuel emissions and consumption. As we tackle growing demand across our network, this aircraft is the optimal choice.”

When it comes to widebody aircraft with 300–410 seats, the A350 is among the most efficient in the world for flight operations up to 9,700 nautical miles. Airbus emphasizes that its advanced technologies, aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and most recent engines provide a 25% advantage in terms of fuel efficiency, operating expenses, and CO2 emissions. In addition, it is 50% quieter than airplanes from the preceding generation.
