Plane takes off in 2018 and lands in 2017

Hawaiian Airlines Flight 446 was a scheduled flight from Auckland, New Zealand to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. It was supposed to take off from Auckland airport on 11:55PM local time on 31st December, 2017. But for some reason the plane took off from Auckland on 12:05AM. It was already 1st January, 2018 in New Zealand and the passengers were celebrating New Year. But when going to Honolulu, the plane had to cross international date line. And as Honolulu is 23 hours behind of Auckland, it was still 31st December, 2017 in Honolulu. Flight 446 landed in Honolulu on 9:45AM. The passengers who were on that flight, got to celebrate New Year twice.
